General Guidelines for Both (Online & Offline) Modes:

  1. Time Management:

    • Each presentation is allotted 10 minutes, including Q&A.

    • Prepare a 7-8 minute talk to allow time for questions.

  2. Content:

    • Start with a clear introduction outlining the background and objectives.

    • Present your methodology, results, and conclusions concisely.

    • Use visuals (slides) to support your talk, keeping them clear and uncluttered.

    • Rehearse your presentation to ensure it fits within the time limit.

  3. Slide Design:

    • Use a simple, professional template.

    • Limit text on slides; use bullet points and visuals.

    • Ensure all text and graphics are large enough to be seen clearly.

Online (Zoom) Presentation Guidelines:

  1. Technical Setup:

    • Ensure a stable internet connection.

    • Test your audio and video equipment beforehand.

    • Use a quiet, well-lit space with a plain background.

  2. Presentation:

    • Log in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

    • Share your screen to display your slides.

    • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace.

    • Look at the camera to engage with the audience.

    • Use a headset or microphone for better sound quality.

  3. Interaction:

    • Monitor the chat for questions and comments.

    • Be prepared for a Q&A session after your presentation.

    • Stay until the end of your session to address any follow-up questions.

Offline (In-Person) Presentation Guidelines:

  1. Technical Setup:

    • Arrive early to test the AV equipment.

    • Bring a backup copy of your presentation on a USB drive.

    • Ensure your slides are compatible with the provided equipment.

  2. Presentation:

    • Stand facing the audience, maintaining eye contact.

    • Use a microphone if available and necessary.

    • Speak clearly and project your voice to reach the entire room.

    • Use a pointer or laser to highlight key points on your slides.

  3. Interaction:

    • Engage with the audience, making eye contact and encouraging questions.

    • Be prepared for a Q&A session after your talk.

    • Stay professional and approachable during the session.

Additional Tips:

  • Dress professionally for both online and offline presentations.

  • Practice your presentation multiple times.

  • Keep a water bottle handy to stay hydrated.

  • Remain calm and composed, even if technical issues arise.
